Dear Freeport Families,

I hope this finds you and your families well. Freeport Public Schools has been committed to providing you with the information and resources, including COVID testing and vaccines, to assist you as we work together through this challenging time. You may be aware that through the federal government, you are now able to order COVID Rapid Home Test Kits to be sent to your homes. There is a limit of one order per residential address with 4 individual kits in each order. The tests are free and will ship in 7 - 12 days.

You can use this link https://www.covidtests.gov/ to order your test kits.

Please note that if you have a need to get tested prior to the kits arrival, you can still pick up a COVID Antigen Home Rapid Test Kit for your child if you have not already done so. You can contact your school building administration for more information. Additionally, Freeport Public Schools continues to offer PCR COVID testing on Mondays and Thursdays from 3 - 5PM at the Caroline G. Atkinson School. The registration link is on the website.

The health and safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Continue to maintain the COVID safety precautions we are following including wearing masks, physically distancing and utilizing proper hygiene. If eligible, please get your vaccines and boosters. Stay safe and be well.

Regards,

Dr. Kishore Kuncham
Superintendent of Schools
