It was a night filled with celebrations at the Caroline G. Atkinson Intermediate School, as the district Board of Education and administrators honored 27 staff members for their 20 years of service and dedication in the district. Together, the honorees have served a collective 540 years in the district. Each honoree received a plaque and a pin as a token of appreciation for their hard work and devotion.
"We're here to celebrate the profound and extraordinary work that our colleagues have contributed to Freeport schools, our students, and our community," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham. "I can't thank you enough for your services, dedication, commitment, everything that you do to make a huge difference in the lives of our students and for inspiring our students to be everything they can be for the last 20 years."
