High School Shares Messages of Peace
Posted on 09/27/2019

The Freeport High School library celebrated International Day of Peace by inviting students to leave messages about peace or Climate Action. For each message, the students received an International Day of Peace button.

In addition, students were invited to make a difference in helping to end childhood hunger by participating in Whales for a Cause. As part of this project, students were asked to craft a paper whale and share it on social media as #whalesforacause. For every whale posted, Vineyardvines agreed to donate to No Kid Hungry and provide 10 nutritious meals to children in need.
