The FHS varsity cheerleading team earned their bid to the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida after vying in a high-intensity competition at the Pocono Regionals in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
The competition was fierce, as Freeport tied fourth place in the Small Division 1 with a former National Championship team and beat two other top 10 ranked teams in the nation. Coaches Laurie Kolodny and Erica Groover are so happy with their team's performances.
The girls will head down to Orlando for the National Championships in February 2019.
