The weather did not dampen our spirits or our parent participation for our First Day Celebration. With more than 320 parents joining their children on Tuesday morning, our school was bursting with the sounds of excitement and anticipation.
Parents had the opportunity to visit their child's classroom where they participated in various activities and helped their children to acclimate to their new classroom environment.
Our Parent Fair, held in the gymnasium, offered parents the opportunity to join the PTA, view video presentations, receive information on our lunch program or visit with representatives from Freeport Pride, NEFCU, Americhoice and the Freeport Library. Parents could also send a postcard to their child with well wishes for a successful school year. It was an exciting start to the new school year that will be remembered by all.
