Freeport High School students Wilsa Abby Albert, Sage Andrino, and Aleya Warner have earned their places among the elite student performers from New York State who will gather to perform at the New York State School Music Association's 77th annual winter conference from Nov. 29-Dec. 2 in Rochester.
These three members of the Freeport High School Select Chorale will join other highly recognized students for NYSSMA's weekend of ensemble and solo performances, including concerts and showcases for electronic music, composition and piano.
Wilsa and Sage are slated to perform with the choristers while Aleya will serve as an alternate. This is a great honor for these talented musicians, who worked hard to pass the required exams needed to attain this rarefied level of recognition, and their achievement directly reflects the overall high standards for arts programs that are a priority in Freeport Public Schools.
