Freeport High School Science Awards and Science Honor Society Induction
On May 16, Freeport High School hosted the 19th annual science awards and National Science Honor Society induction ceremony. 

Thirty outstanding students were inducted into the National Science Honor Society and several students received awards. During the induction ceremony, Dr. Angela Kelly, professor of science education and physics at Stony Brook University was this year’s keynote speaker. She spoke with the students, families and administrators about “Quantum Information Science Technology: Emerging Discoveries and Academic Career Opportunities.”  
 
“Congratulations to the students who received the well-deserved science awards and to the students who were inducted into the National Science Honor Society,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham said. “Your dedication to achieving success has earned you the recognition you received today. I am confident you will continue to excel in the future.”
