Juniors and seniors from Freeport High School were honored for their dedication to academic excellence throughout the school year during the school’s annual Academic Awards Breakfast on May 23.
During the breakfast celebration, awards and scholarships were presented to students who demonstrated academic excellence, achievement, community service, leadership, education growth and more.
“Congratulations to all the students here today,” said Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kishore Kuncham. “There are so many great achievements that you have accomplished on your academic journeys. Your recognition today and all those you have previously received are just the beginning. As you continue your path to success always strive to be the best you can be.”
The awards were provided by Nassau County, New York State and the Town of Hempstead. In addition, many universities, organizations, and institutes offered awards including the Rochester Institute of Technology, Saint Michael’s College and the University of Rochester.
The district is proud of its students and congratulates them for their accomplishments.
