The beautiful induction ceremony opened with the JROTC's presentation of colors and an address from coordinator Ms. Zoraya Bussey. Following, was a traditional candle lighting ceremony and each inductee was presented with a medal by Board of Education President Maria Jordan-Awalom, prior to taking the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica oath.

To qualify for induction into this prestigious society, the 34 new inductees were required to maintain an excellent academic record along with community service.
