April 2022

Dear Freeport Families,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the joys of Spring. It is always a pleasure to emerge from the cold, dark winter to the light and renewal that comes with the changing season. It is similar to how we feel as we continue to emerge from the pandemic and can once again see the smiling faces of our colleagues and students. It is a visible reminder of the resilience of the world around us and ourselves. There is a tone of optimism as we look forward to the longer, warmer days. Time for us to move our lives outside to enjoy the beauty of nature and fun activities with our families and friends.

It is remarkable to realize we have already reached the point of the year for Spring Break. There have been so many changes since we successfully reopened in September with all our students returning. Each change has brought us a step closer to normalcy. As always, you have been flexible, patient and understanding. Resilience and persistence are key to overcoming challenges and growth. Our students are thriving because of the care and combined commitment we put in together to make sure they are healthy and ready to learn in a comfortable, safe environments. Once again, our students are making us proud with academics, arts and athletic accomplishments. We are enjoying live performances and celebrating our successes together. Like the Spring, we are coming back with renewed strength and bright ambitions.

Our lives require balance in order for us to remain healthy and happy. We learned an important lesson about the significance of our health and wellness and the need to care for ourselves. Now it is time for us to balance work with a break for relaxation and enjoyment. Breathe deeply, take personal time, enjoy being with your dear ones fully, and renew yourselves. I wish you all a wonderful Spring Break free of stress and filled with love, light and laughter.

Regards,

Dr. Kishore Kuncham
