Dear Freeport Families,

Earlier this afternoon, we were made aware by the Freeport Police Department that they had received an alleged bomb threat directed toward a school in Freeport.

The district worked closely with the Freeport Police Department and the Nassau County Police Department as they investigated the validity of this alleged bomb threat, including an interior and exterior search of all schools. Their investigation determined there was no threat to our schools. Working in conjunction with the police, all of our schools were safely dismissed as scheduled.

We thank you for your understanding. The safety and security of our students and staff is our highest priority. At this time, the district is continuing to cooperate with police, as the investigation is ongoing. If anyone has any information regarding the source of this alleged threat, please contact the Freeport Police department.

Regards,

Dr. Kishore Kuncham
