The kindergarten through fourth grade students at New Visions Elementary School within Freeport Public Schools are uplifting each other, faculty, staff and administrators by creating kindness cards. The handwritten cards state in bold writing at the top "We are spreading kindness around like confetti, I've chosen kindness to spread to you" and students followed by filling in a personalized note with an encouraging message of peace, love or hope. Once the cards were completed, they were displayed on a bulletin board within the school and named The Kindness Wall.
The Kindness Wall is a chance for students to have an impact on school culture influencing it for the better by making kindness an everyday act.
