Ms. Gisselle Campbell-Ham Appointed as Principal of Freeport High School
Dear Freeport Families,
I am pleased to inform you that at the August 10th Board of Education Meeting, Ms. Gisselle Campbell-Ham was appointed as the Principal of Freeport High School effective August 23, 2021.
With 28 years working in Freeport Schools, Ms. Campbell-Ham is currently the Principal of the Caroline G. Atkinson School. Prior to that, she was an accomplished Assistant Principal at Freeport High School from 2012 -2020. Her professionalism, leadership, and caring for the children and staff of the Freeport Public Schools is evident in her committed work and daily interactions. With her strong knowledge of secondary instruction and the needs of students, Freeport High School will continue to thrive and reach the highest levels of excellence ensuring that every child fulfills their greatest potential. We are looking forward to beginning a successful school year under her committed leadership as the principal of Freeport High School.
With Ms. Campbell-Ham's appointment to Freeport High School, the District will move swiftly to select and recommend the next principal of the Caroline G. Atkinson School as soon as possible to allow for a smooth start for the upcoming year. We will keep you posted.
