Important Statement from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham
Dear Freeport Families,
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the sudden passing of Danyel Saint-Louis a Freeport High School senior, who tragically died in a car accident. Our deepest condolences to Danyel's family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this very sad and difficult time.
Danyel will be remembered as someone who was well liked with boundless energy and a positive attitude. He was a starting point guard and a star player on the boys varsity basketball team. As a member of the Class of 2021, Danyel was planning to pursue a career in nursing and hoped to continue playing basketball in college.
Freeport High School and district staff are providing support and counseling to our students and staff as needed. If you feel your child is in need of support at this time, please contact the high school so that we can be aware of your child's need and offer assistance.
