The winter season was in full effect throughout the Freeport School District, as each school hosted its annual Winter Festival of the Arts Concerts.
Students showcased their musical talents by performing traditional holiday songs and classic melodies for their families, district staff, administrators and members of the board of education. Additionally, students also exhibited their creative skills, as their holiday-themed work was on display for attendees to view.
During the Freeport High School's winter concert, the district had the wonderful opportunity to welcome the Key of Hope Children's Choir from Durban, South Africa. The group joined with the school's Ninth Grade Select Chorus to perform a rendition of "I Want To Know What Love Is."
