Schools Organize Museums for African American History
Posted on 02/28/2020

Students were immersed in African American culture throughout the month of February as Bayview Avenue and Leo F. Giblyn elementary schools honored the celebration with its Black History Month museums.

A variety of activities took place during the monthlong anniversary. Bayview students dressed in cultural wear, visited several stations throughout the building and learned about the individuals who overcame oppression and changed lives.

Giblyn students engaged in an informative slideshow that provided information, photos and video on African Americans who changed history and paved a way for younger generations to come.
