Hour of Code at New Visions
Posted on 12/18/2020

The fourth grade students in Ms. Mimi Bino's library classes at New Visions celebrated Computer Science Education Week by participating in the worldwide Hour of Code.

The students used Tynker, an education programming platform, in collaboration with NASA to teach students coding concepts as they programmed a rover to travel to a location of their choice. They also learned why robots are crucial for space exploration.
Following the hour of code, the students programmed BeeBots to visit different spots within their classrooms.

The Hour of Code is a worldwide movement designed to engage students in their first hour of coding and computer science. Students in more than 180 countries have participated in the event.
