Dear Freeport Families,

The Governor announced on Friday August 7th that schools in New York State can reopen for the 202020201 school year. Please click on the link to view the Governor's press releas (.https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-announces-based-each-regions-infection-rate-schools-across-new-york-state-are).

Freeport Public Schools had submitted our reopening plan already and it is available on the website. You have received a letter presenting your options in the mail, through email, and the mobile app. This letter is also available on our website. This is a reminder regarding the August 10th 5pm deadline to submit your choice for the full Remote Learning option for your child(ren) as schools reopen. If you wish to follow the hybrid model of both in-person and remote learning, you do not need to complete the form. If you choose the remote learning option, you have the ability to change your decision after the marking periods end.

Additionally, if you are eligible for transportation and wish to bring your child to school instead, please fill out the form declining transportation by August 10th 5 pm.

Regards,

Dr. Kishore Kuncham
