Posted on 12/11/2019

Math teachers from the high school presented at the 69th annual Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State Conference in Rochester. This conference brings math teachers from around the state together to share their best practices, meet NYSED representatives, and speak to leaders and innovators in the education field.

Mr. Joseph D'Agostino and Mr. Kevin Harrison shared their knowledge and experiences working with Freeport students and demonstrated how to perform trigonometry outdoors using low-tech handmade devices, purchased commercial grade clinometers, trundle wheels, as well as high-tech apps on smartphones.
