Celebrating Hispanic heritage
Posted on 10/30/2017

The district celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month across all of its schools with a variety of spirited activities and assemblies.
At Atkinson, students took the stage to perform various acts such as skits, a Gozadera Dance, and a rendition of "Hablando Claro" by the sixth-grade select mariachi band. At Columbus, staff members explained the significance of celebrating Hispanic heritage to the students, who then performed a rousing range of traditional dances popular in the Hispanic culture.

In celebrating the richness of Hispanic heritage, students throughout the district showcased their talents in the performing and visual arts.
