Students Perform at Senator’s Health Fair
Posted on 11/06/2017

Student-musicians from the high school were invited to perform at the annual Nassau County Golden Gathering Health Fair hosted by Sen. John Brooks at the Freeport Recreation Center.

The ceremonial opening of the event was performed by the high school's Select Chorale, who showcased their remarkable talents in renditions of the national anthem and "America the Beautiful" under the direction of Monique Retzlaff. Under the guidance of teacher Jill Boardman, student Marcus Brodsky then led the Caprice Chamber String Ensemble through a variety of beautiful selections.

Being invited to perform at the event was a testament to the students' and teachers' commitment to musical excellence. It was also a wonderful opportunity for the students to give back to the community.
