Students at New Visions recently experienced augmented reality by participating in the Google Expeditions Pioneer Program.
They familiarized themselves with elements of augmented reality - the integration of digital information with the user's environment in "real time" - by using smartphones provided by a representative of Google for the lesson. Working in groups, students were able to view and study images that appeared all over the library through the smartphones. The lessons were led by librarian Mimi Bino and classroom teachers.
