Students at the high school had the opportunity to experience augmented reality by participating in the Google Expeditions Pioneer Program. Using smartphones provided by a representative of Google, students learned about the integration of digital information with the user's environment in "real time" by viewing and studying images that appeared all over the Distance Learning Center through their smartphones. Students worked in groups under the direction of their teachers to familiarize themselves with these elements of augmented reality.
