Students at the high school and Dodd celebrated the Hour of Code in December by participating in a variety of activities related to computer science and programming.
Students Alyssa Cruz and Jaidiver Morales (sophomores at the high school), and Valeria Ventura, Mason Bazemore, Justin Budhu, Gerard Horning, and Iysaiah Salome-Diaz (eighth-graders at the middle school) presented lessons about computer programming using C# to their peers.
In the past, discoveries in science took place in laboratories; in the 21st century, many breakthroughs are supported by advanced computer technology. The district offers numerous science and technology courses to better prepare students for the future.
