The Freeport Board of Education recently unanimously approved a resolution granting partial real property tax exemption to qualified veterans residing in Class 1 (residential dwellings) and Class 2 (co-ops) within the district under Real Property Tax Law 458-a. The exemption will apply to the 2014 – 2015 school year.
