John W. Dodd Middle School seventh-grade student Leah Hochman was awarded first place in the Long Island Science and Engineering Middle School 2014 Fair.
Her project, "Investigating the Ages of Globular Clusters in the Milky Way," earned her one of the nine top prizes awarded from the pool of more than 100 students who competed on Long Island.
