Math Bee Challenge at Bayview
Posted on 06/16/2014

The Bayview Avenue Annual Math Bee is a tournament where students in grades 2-4 compete in classroom and grade level math competitions. The program is a fun and exciting way to help students achieve extraordinary levels of speed and accuracy with their math skills. The competition consists of individual student oral responses within the designated 10-second time limit. Students who answer correctly within the time limit continue to advance to the next round. Students respond to number sentences with mixed operations, sometimes up to seven facts. Finalists have become so fluent that this year, to the enjoyment of all, the final rounds included word problems. All students who reached the grade level math bee competition were winners. The top three winners received prizes, but all students were given certificates and ribbons.
