The Board of Education and administration take great pride in the district's winning athletic program and the coaches who serve as leaders and role models for the teams. Freeport physical education teacher and boys varsity basketball coach Robert DeBonis recently achieved his 300th win. In recognition of this outstanding accomplishment, Mr. DeBonis received citations from Assemblyman Harvey Weisenberg and State Sen. Charles Fuschillo.
Board of Education President Debra Mulé, Vice President Vilma Lancaster and trustees Anthony Miller and Michael Pomerico, along with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham, also extended their congratulations to Mr. DeBonis for achieving this milestone and for his positive influence on so many Freeport students.
