The registered voters in the Freeport UFSD have voted to approve the proposed 2012-2013 school budget. The budget of $151,012,254 was approved 1634 YES vs. 639 NO.
"On behalf of the Board of Education, myself and our administration, I would like to thank the community for voting and showing their continued support and confidence in our school district," stated Board of Education President Debra McQuillan. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham added "We worked diligently to present a budget that represented a continuation of the quality education we provide all students in a fiscally responsible and conservative manner. The approved budget will enable us to continue to provide the programs and services our students need to be successful. I would also like to congratulate Debra Mulé on her election to the Board of Education."
