High School Summer Graduation Celebrates Achievement
Posted on 08/22/2012

Thirty-eight Freeport High School students achieved 'Class of 2012' graduate status in late August, the perfect reward for their continued hard work and perseverance. For the family, friends and administrators in attendance, this was truly a time to applaud the students' great efforts and show continued support.

"The graduating class of 2012 established a new record of graduation rate in Freeport's recent history," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham. He went on to remind the graduates of the acronym FOCUS (Fearless, Opportunity, Commitment, Unique and Stillness or Silence), and continued, "Spend some time in your inner world for moments of stillness and silence every day." High School Principal Linda Carter, Board of Education President Debra Mulé and Summer School Principal Michael Campiglia also congratulated the graduating class and encouraged them to continue to persevere in their educational journey.
