THANK YOU FREEPORT SCHOOL DISTRICT RESIDENTS
Posted on 05/24/2011

Nothing contributes more to student success than a strong collaborative school, parent, and community partnership. The children of the Freeport School District are the beneficiaries of just such a partnership.

Board of Education President, Debra A. McQuillan, Board Trustees, and Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kishore Kuncham, would like to extend their appreciation to the community members who voted on May 17th to support the 2011-2012 school budget. This budget will enable the district to continue its ongoing efforts to raise student achievement on all grade levels, increase the district's graduation rates, and provide all students with the skills they will need to be college and career ready.

Congratulations are extended to Ronald Ellerbe and Vilma Lancaster who have each been elected to serve a three-year term on the Board of Education, commencing July 1, 2011.

With just a few weeks remaining in the current school year, students will be celebrating many achievements that bring pride to the Freeport Community and demonstrate that, with hard work and determination, dreams can, in fact, become a reality.

The Board of Education and Dr. Kuncham look forward to continuing to work closely with the community in the upcoming school year. Once again, they extend their heartfelt gratitude for the community's ongoing support and confidence in them.
