Before the start of the first varsity football home game, Freeport fans demonstrated their school spirit and community pride through their applause as Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham, Board of Education President Debra McQuillan, Board trustees and administrators officially opened the new Freeport High School track with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The excitement continued as the Freeport Red Devils, reigning Long Island Champions and Rutgers Cup recipients, defeated the Levittown MacArthur Generals 35-19 in the first home game of the varsity football season.
