Archer Street commemorated the tenth anniversary of 9/11/01 with a school-wide ceremony outside their building. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kishore Kuncham, Principal Paula Lein, the administrative and building staff, the faculty and the students gathered as one to witness the student color guard raise the American flag to full height and then lower it to half-mast. After reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the group sang "America the Beautiful" and Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA." The flag remained at half-mast for the rest of the day as a sign of remembrance.
