Freeport Brings Spirit to Basketball Game
The Freeport High School Red Devil Marching Band and the cheerleaders will entertain throughout the January 5, 2011 basketball game at the 5,000-seat Mack Arena at Hofstra University. Freeport Spirit Night is jointly sponsored by Freeport High School and Hofstra University.
The game between Hofstra and George Mason University (A "Final Four" team a few years ago) promises to be an exciting one with both teams having highly honored players and our students providing between play entertainment. It is a great time to show your Freeport Pride.
Mr. Ernest J. Kight, principal of Freeport High School, said "I am very proud to have the opportunity to showcase Freeport's talent, to show our Freeport pride and to have a fun night out. I hope the Freeport community will be able to join us."
Tickets for this game are being sold at the discounted price of $10 per ticket or two tickets for $15. Billed as "Freeport Spirit Night", it is also a fundraiser for the senior class.
