Posted on 04/30/2012

The Select Chorales from Caroline G. Atkinson Intermediate School and J.W. Dodd Middle School visited Temple University in Philadelphia as invited guests to the annual Urban Choral Celebration and spent a whirlwind weekend in the City of Brotherly Love.

The chorales took full advantage of the trip and visited many historical sites, including Independence Hall, the African American Museum, and the Liberty Bell.

They also had the opportunity to represent Freeport by participating in a master choral class conducted by nationally known choral conductor/composer Roger Holland and performing in a number of venues, including the Philadelphia Senior Center, Macy's Historic Rotunda, and St. George's United Methodist Church.
