The John W. Dodd Middle School Drama Club firmly planted their cleverly staged "Little Shop of Horrors" in the high school auditorium for a one-night performance in late January that showcased the many talents of Freeport students.

Director/producer Robyn Workman and facilitator/choreographer Vashti Burke spent countless hours with the students rehearsing and adapting the script, music and choreography to present the finest production possible in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. "It was not easy to stay committed," said Workman. "Many of our cast members were displaced. They voted unanimously to forge ahead given the option."

This musical production was based on the Ashman/Menken Broadway collaboration that was inspired by the Roger Corman film of the same name written by Charles Griffith.
