From Wednesday, April 18 through Saturday, April 21, 41 Freeport High School students had the opportunity to envision their futures as they visited several colleges in Pennsylvania and Maryland during the spring college tour. Students in grade 9-12 were given guided tours as they learned first-hand about the college admissions process for Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Maryland at Baltimore County, the University of Maryland at College Park, Howard University and Georgetown University. While in Washington, D.C. to see Howard and Georgetown, the 21st Century participants also experienced a memorable and interesting evening tour of the monuments, including the newest monument to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. By envisioning themselves attending one of the college on the tour, the students realized the how important it is to have goals and to succeed in high school.
