New Visions students were hoping for their principal-elect Julia Grossnickle to keep her campaign promise to increase recess time, but the fourth grade Principal-For-A Day winner had her hands full as she spent the day assisting Principal Renee Crump-Dedmon on the job. Julia won the school-wide election after she debated with three other fourth grade candidates in front of the entire school and invited guests in late January. Though each candidate had impressive answers to the challenging questions put before them, Miss Grossnickle wowed the crowd by truly knowing her audience - elementary school children. Her performance and her answers won her the election and gave her the opportunity to see first-hand what goes on behind the scenes at New Visions School. Way to go, Julia!
