Freeport Public Schools pre-kindergarten registration for the 2013-2014 school year will begin on Monday, Feb. 25 and continue through Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Registration will take place at the Central Registration Verification Office located at the west end of the Caroline G. Atkinson School, 58 W. Seaman Ave., Freeport. Children must be 4 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2013 in order to be eligible to attend.
There are two 2½-hour sessions per day, and a total of 303 spaces are available in the pre-K program. If more than 303 students are registered during this time, a lottery will be held. If fewer than 303 students are registered during this time, all students registered will be considered registered for September 2013. Registration for the remaining openings will continue on a first-come, first-served basis until all spots are filled. A waiting list will be established if and when it becomes necessary.
