On Thursday, September 20th, the Archer Street students and staff participated in a full building evacuation drill as mandated by New York State.
After the alarm was set, the students and staff exited the building and lined up along Southside Avenue as is usual for our fire drills. After completing a full building attendance count, Mrs. Lein led the third and fourth grade students and staff on foot to Bayview Avenue School. The K-2 students and remaining staff members boarded buses and departed to Bayview, our host school.
Ms. Wills, Principal of Bayview and Ms. Rocha, Assistant Principal, welcomed us into their auditorium where the attendance was again taken. Mrs. Lein addressed the students on their excellent behavior and on the importance of this successful drill. The students and staff then returned to Archer Street School and were again complimented on their exceptional Greenlight behavior.
