Freeport High School seniors Elizabeth Mulé and Nicholas Brown have attained academic recognition at the national level based on their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Elizabeth is a National Merit Scholarship Commended Student for 2013, while Nicholas is a 2013 National Achievement Scholarship Program Outstanding Participant. The National Merit and National Achievement scholarship programs are conducted concurrently but operated and funded separately. A student's standing is determined independently in each program.
Elizabeth and Nicholas are not strangers to academic recognition. Both of them are currently 2012 AP Scholars with Distinction.
These two outstanding achievers exemplify students who have benefited from the high quality of education that is available to all who attend school in Freeport.
