Seventeen 2012 AP Scholars

The district's efforts to maintain high learning standards have paid dividends once again as 17 current Freeport High School seniors now rank as AP Scholars for 2012.

Four of these current students have attained the high-level classification of AP Scholar with Distinction: Nicholas Brown, Bianca Molina, Elizabeth Mulé and Jessica Ramos. This accolade is granted to students who received an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

Four students were also named as AP Scholars with Honor: Oscar Arieta, Brittany Gardner, Jerson Guzman and Lauren Workman.

Rounding out the AP Scholar list were Ariel Alas, Wilsa Albert, Harold Barnes, Orlando Flores, Hunter Frederick, Audrey Johnson, Ashley Martin, Kyle McCullough and Jasmine Walker.

Freeport Schools administration congratulated all 17 of the AP Scholar students for their hard work and perseverance in maintaining the high academic standards needed to achieve AP Scholar ranking.
