The Freeport High School Select Chorale performed the national anthem at Citi Field prior to the New York Mets home game versus the San Francisco Giants on Sept. 17. The chorale, under the direction of Monique Retzlaff, was praised for their beautiful rendition and professionalism by the Mets staff and organization.
"This was a wonderful opportunity for the select chorale to be in the spotlight to showcase the talent that we nurture in Freeport schools," Retzlaff said. "Family, friends, administrators and colleagues were on hand at Citi Field to cheer for our amazing students."
