The Show Goes On at New Visions School
Posted on 12/20/2012

With much excitement and holiday cheer, the performance of Elfis and the Elves Get All Shook Up went off without a hitch. The production, under the direction of music teacher and choral director Ruth Breidenbach, included over 230 students as singers, dancers, and narrators in grades one through four.

Elfis and the Elves almost didn't happen. After Superstorm Sandy, the Winter Festivals were canceled this year due to the time lost with students for lessons and rehearsals. That could not deter Mrs. Breidenbach who knew the students would be disappointed if they were told they wouldn't perform this season.

Costumes were made, dances were choreographed, and lines and music were rehearsed all in time for Tuesday's performance. The show was attended by Ms. Anne-Marie Hudley Simmons, Interim Director of the Arts who acknowledged "this kind of production does not just happen." Congratulations to all performers and Happy Holidays from New Visions School.
