Freeport High School's girls varsity basketball team took on an additional challenge this season when they decided to join teams across the country and participate in Play 4Kay, a national women's basketball breast cancer awareness initiative.
The team, led by senior captain Taylor Miller, set a fundraising goal of $1,500 for this cause. To date the team has raised more than $1,600.
