Adelphi University hosted Press Day featuring the Quill Awards for high school students throughout Long Island. Students participated in a panel discussion, workshops and award presentation where Emily Bernal and Jeanette Tavares received Honorable Mention for Best News Article.
Their article was entitled "Teacher & Nurse Save a Life," from the Fall 2013 issue of Freeport High School's newspaper, Flashings.
