Kindergartners at Columbus are completing comprehensive lessons related to the book,"Spot Goes to the Farm," by Eric Hill.
Nina Moran, of the Long Island University Arts in Education program, led the lessons over a four-day period. Moran read the book to the students, who worked on related vocabulary, coordinated singing-and dancing of"Old MacDonald had a Farm," and incorporated coloring and cutting skills to make puppets of farm animals.
The students will culminate their study of the book with a trip to the Tilles Center at LIU Post to watch a rendition of the"Spot Goes to the Farm" play.
