High school Select Chorale standouts Kristopher Saint-Louis and Jasmine Euell performed in Rhode Island at the Biennial Eastern Division Conference on April 9-12 after being selected All-Eastern by the National Association for Music Education. Both students also represented Freeport in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Winter Conference in Rochester in December.

Senior Saint-Louis, who earlier this year became the first music student in the district's history to earn All-National Chorus acclaim, is president of the Select Chorale group, and was selected All-State last year. He achieved perfect scores for two consecutive years at his NYSSMA All-State auditions. He was also named an AP Scholar this year, and will be attending New York University on a full scholarship in the fall.

Junior Euell, who became a member of the Select Chorale last year, is a varsity athlete on the bowling and tennis teams. She is involved with several extracurricular activities, and is a member of the National Honor Society. She said she wants to continue to learn more about music, and to use her voice in the future to make a difference in her community.

"Kris and Jasmine have worked diligently to achieve such impressive musical success," Select Chorale director Monique Retzlaff said."I am so proud of their accomplishments."
