First-graders at New Visions were treated to a special guest reading by Sen. Mike Venditto.
Venditto read"Giggle, Giggle, Quack," a story about comedic animal behaviors, to the students as part of a series of books they are completing. Venditto also visited Toni Pincus, the school nurse, and weighed and measured Jericho, the school's puppy, with fourth-graders. Venditto's visit with Jericho highlighted the school's participation in the senator's Pet Food Drive, through which students and teachers donated pet food and supplies to families.
