Freeport supports STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) initiatives at the elementary level through partnerships with local organizations and Universities as a foundation for success. With the support of the STLE (Strengthening Teacher and Leader Effectiveness) grant, our teachers and principals are taking advantage of collegial circles, professional development, and co-teaching opportunities in which they plan hands-on learning experiences and student-centered lessons in partnership with Adelphi University professors.
